
Celene Yohemas graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Music Performance degree in Percussion in 2000. She has performed with many ensembles including the Alberta Winds, New Works Calgary, and theGrossmont Symphony. She has recorded with the La Jolla Symphony, Deliria, First Alliance Church Orchestra, and was broadcast live on CKUA radio with Theresa Wasden and the Southern Stardust Big Band. Her theatrical debut was with the Green Fools Theatre collaborative Dancing on Water in which she was composer and musician. She was sound designer, composer and musician on stage with the Alberta Theatre Projects play Picking Up Chekhov during the 2006 Enbridge PlayRites Festival. She is currently drumming for the Devil Dolls and is the house drummer for Women Rock the Shamrock. In addition to her performance career, Celene is teaching private lessons, percussion clinics, and accompanies dance in a variety of styles.
