A typical day at Rocker Girl Camp includes a morning stretch and vocal/body warm up. Then it’s off to the first instrument class (keys, vocals, guitars, bass, drums, strings…). An hour later there is a class switch and the girls head off the the second instrument class. During lunch we usually rock out to tunes and have a dance session after the food has settled.
Afternoon sessions include guest speakers from all branches of the musical community. Some subjects covered include songwriting, music business, musicianship, touring, band communication, sound engineering, drug and alcohol awareness, and sound recording. The final two hours of the day include a jam and band rehearsal. We will work towards a final concert for friday afternoon. It is fun, challenging, and intense all at once!

PLEASE ARRIVE AT CAMP ON FIRST DAY AT 9:30 AM FOR REGISTRATION. UPON ARRIVAL, ONE PARENT WILL BE ASKED TO SIGN A PARENTAL RELEASE FORM (SUPPLIED AT CAMP). ALL OTHER DAYS RUN 10 AM TO 5 PM

-signed parental release form located on the “get involved” page.
-PLEASE BRING INSTRUMENTS! IF YOU ARE TAKING DRUM CLASS YOU WILL GET MORE TIME ON THE KIT IF YOU BRING ONE. Long & McQuade rents amps, drum kits, and other instruments for cheap.
-your legal guardian/parent for signature
-your instrument (if available)
-a water bottle (water will be provided)
-a lunch and snack
-a note book scribbler, pen, pencil
